walk softly and carry a … notebook

I would be lost if I didn’t carry small notebooks around with me. I write down ideas I have, books I want to read, movies I want to see, and contact information for people I meet. Today I came across the artwork of Tim Baynes, who is, among other things, a contributor to The Passport Blog on the BBC website. In more than 20 years of traveling, Baynes has rarely been without a moleskine notebook, in which he sketches his impressions of the sights, sounds, and smells surrounding him. His drawings are lovely and certainly inspiring! He’s recently compiled many of these sketches in a book, Drawing on Experience.
